Since the end of the New England Patriots season in the Wild Card game against the Tennessee Titans — there has been pretty much a Tom Brady rumor every single week on where he might end up in 2020.
The 42-year-old pending free agent has been connected to both Las Vegas, Tennessee, Los Angeles, and even Indianapolis.
Then came an out-of-nowhere pick in the Miami Dolphins because of the destination city and familiar faces like head coach Brian Flores.
Not even Dolphins owner Stephen Ross understands why Tom Brady would leave the Patriots to come to Miami.
Via Palm Beach Post:
“Right,” Ross said Friday, when asked if it’s not the right fit now. “I mean, we’re building. He’s a fierce competitor. He’s a great quarterback. He’s the greatest of all time. I don’t know why that’s what everybody is writing about. Hey, people need something to write about. But, you know…”
Ross spoke with local reporters after taping a segment for a show on Bloomberg News at The Power Players Summit. During the taping, when asked about Brady, the pending free agent, he said: “We’re a team that’s building. I don’t know why he would want to come to the Dolphins. He’s the fiercest competitor. He’s a winner. We’re at a stage with the Dolphins where we’re trying to build a team for the future.”
I think we can pretty much put those Brady to Miami rumors to rest.

The Dolphins, who finished 5-11 in 2019, need a quarterback, but getting Tom Brady would only fill one of several holes that this franchise currently has.
