The Miami Dolphins do not want to go down that tampering road again. back in October, the NFL announced it stripped the Dolphins of two draft picks — including a 2023 first-round selection — after finding the organization guilty of tampering with Tom Brady and Sean Payton while they were under contract with other NFL teams.
The NFL launched an investigation into the Dolphins after allegations made by Brian Flores. The former Miami coach alleged that the team had urged him to tamper and tank so they could get better as a team. The league found that the Dolphins and owner Stephen Ross violated the NFL’s anti-tampering policy on multiple occasions beginning in August of 2019.
New head coach Mike McDaniel wants none of that on his slate.
Just recently, Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer went viral stating he wanted his next team to be in a state where they did not take half his money. There are no state taxes in Florida.
During the Scouting Combine on Tuesday, McDaniel was asked about Poyer but chose better than to comment on it.
“I’m not in the business of tampering,” McDaniel told reporters. “We need all the draft picks we can get.”
