Mike McDaniel is one funny and energetic coach that all players would love to play for
Reporters aren’t used to witty answers from NFL head coaches, but if they require one, then the Dolphins’ head coach is the man to go to.
McDaniel used to be an assistant with the Washington Commanders franchise. That is important information to note after he was asked what he thought of Daniel Snyder selling the team. It will be sold for billions of dollars.
Given the bad press about the team over the years, McDaniel came away shocked that it would be sold for so much. He also added a little nugget about coffee.
He was an offensive assistant in 2011-12 and a receivers coach in 2013.
As for his team, McDaniel is excited by what he has seen from Tua Tagovailoa ahead of what could be a pivotal season for his starting quarterback.

“He’s doing great,” McDaniel told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. “He’s had a really good offseason with his family and training and positioning himself to feel good moving forward. He’s very healthy, vibrant, and I can see a hunger in him that I’m excited to watch play out.”
Tagovailoa had a career year in 2022, throwing for 3,458 yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. His numbers would’ve been even better if he wasn’t forced to miss multiple games due to injuries.
The 2020 first-round pick was diagnosed with multiple concussions which forced him to miss four regular-season games and Miami’s AFC Wild Card Round loss to the Buffalo Bills.
