Seattle Seahawks’ superstar wide receiver D.K. Metcalf has a specific and unique diet that helps him remain in elite condition.
Metcalf has been one of the NFL’s most dynamic offensive playmakers since joining the NFL in 2019. Through his first four seasons, the 25-year-old Metcalf has 306 receptions for 4,218 yards and 35 touchdowns.
During an appearance on Kevin Garnett’s “SHOWTIME Basketball” program, Metcalf revealed that his diet features plenty of candy and caffeine: Coffee, Skittles gummies and Life Savers.
As a child, your parents and dentist probably explained aplenty why you shouldn’t eat too much candy. But world-class athletes of Metcalf’s caliber can certainly get away with it, given his hard work in the gym and explosiveness on the field.
Back in 2019, Metcalf was considered one of the ultimate boom-or-bust prospects. But it certainly didn’t take him long to silence the doubters, as Metcalf finished his rookie year with 58 receptions for 900 yards and seven touchdowns.
