DK Metcalf believes Colin Kaepernick will get another opportunity in the NFL, but he stopped short of campaigning for the former quarterback to take snaps in Seattle.
“I would tell you if they brought him in, like I have no say so and I’m gonna have to, you know, play with him and get along with him,” Metcalf said when asked by Shannon Sharpe if he’d be open to having Kaepernick in the locker room, via the Club Shay Shay podcast.
Despite having not been in the league for six years, Kaepernick’s been throwing footballs all over the country.
“He’s like an act,” Sharpe said of Kaepernick. “He’s like Lil Baby or Lil Durk. He’s on tour. He’s in San Francisco. He’s in Seattle. He was in Atlanta. He’s just going all over the place.”
Sharpe’s comments on Kaepernick seem to align with that of Antonio Brown’s, who just last week condemned the free agent QB for making a deal with the NFL and not helping out much in the hood.
“He don’t wanna play, man. He was trash,” said Brown.

When asked by Sharpe if Kaepernick is deserving of another chance in the NFL, Metcalf responded: “Oh 100%, everybody deserves a second chance at anything that they do, in my opinion so…”
“Somebody’s gonna take a chance and give him another opportunity,” added Metcalf.
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016 when he was with the San Francisco 49ers. For his career, he has 12,271 yards through the air, 72 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions.
