The Seattle Seahawks are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week, but this is not the type of news they were hoping for heading into a big divisional matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
While superstar wide receiver D.K. Metcalf has been dealing with an assortment of injuries through the first six weeks of the season, it appears as though he has a new ailment that’s serious enough to cause some concern heading into week 7.
According to Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, Metcalf is dealing with a hip issue that could very well keep him out of Sunday’s game in Seattle. Right now, Carroll is labeling Metcalf as a game-time call, adding that the wide receiver is “pretty sore still” and “still working at it.”
Metcalf missed both Wednesday and Thursday’s practice sessions before getting in a bit of work on Friday.
If he’s unable to go, it would be a big loss for the Seahawks. The 25-year-old currently leads the team in receiving yards with 337 through the team’s first five games. Seattle sits in second place in the NFC West with a 3-2 record at the moment.
