DK Metcalf had something to say about anybody who thinks Russell Wilson is lame for simply being a loving father and husband.
While in conversation with Shannon Sharpe, sitting in ‘Club Shay Shay,’ DK Metcalf gave his thoughts on people calling Wilson names.
“Well that’s just him. People call it square, okay, if it’s lame being a square then I’ll be lame too. Like, it’s lame that you treat your wife good. And y’all seem happy and y’all genuinely happy for each other? Cool I wanna be that way too. He’s too good and too perfect that people can’t see their life like that. So they wanna hate on him.”
This entire conversation began when Channing Crowder called Wilson “square.” He also stated Ciara would’ve never married a guy like him unless he had money.
Metcalf and Russell Wilson shared the field for three seasons in the NFL before the Seahawks traded the veteran QB to the Denver Broncos this offseason. After rumors suggested that Metcallf was next, he has since stated publicly he wants to be in Seattle for the long haul.

D.K. Metcalf had 75 receptions for 967 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns in 2021. He made the Pro Bowl in 2020 and was a Second-Team All-Pro selection that year.
Wilson threw for a career-low 3,113 yards last season with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions in 14 games. The 10-year veteran was forced to miss time for the first time in his career after suffering a broken finger that required surgery.
