Last week, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen announced via social media that they were officially divorced.
Brady and Bündchen had been married since 2009. They have two children together, a son and a daughter. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback also has a son from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.

There had been a plethora of reports regarding a looming divorce in the weeks leading up to the official announcement. It took just 33 minutes for Judge Jack Lundy of Glades County to grant a divorce.
The Daily Mail spoke to legal experts who explained that Lundy’s quick 33-minute ruling is rather out of the ordinary. In fact, one of them suggested that Lundy may have ignored the 20-day waiting period because he was simply “starstruck.”
Director of Public Access at the Florida Center for Government Accountability, Michael Barfield, told this to the media outlet:
“(Being starstruck) is likely the explanation for this. The way the judge handled this case is unprecedented. It seems that the judge and the lawyers coordinated things to happen in advance of the divorce filing while the right to know is the basis of the court system.

Multiple reports indicated that Brady’s decision to end a 40-day retirement from football played a factor in the divorce. In a recent interview with Elle, Bündchen expressed her concerns over the violence of football.
Brady announced his retirement soon after the Bucs lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 NFC Divisional Round. 40 days later, however, Brady announced through social media that he was coming back for a 23rd season.
After a promising 2-0 start to the season, the Buccaneers dropped five of their next six games. However, they rebounded with a pivotal 16-13 home win against the defending champion Rams to improve their record to 4-5.
Brady has completed 65.3 percent of pass attempts for 2,547 yards and 10 touchdowns against only one interception. The seven-time Super Bowl champion reached the 100,000 career passing yards milestone (regular season and postseason games) in Sunday’s win.
