The NFL playoffs are nearly here, yet football is the furthest thing from everyone’s mind right now, save Skip Bayless and probably some league high-ups.
The sports community is still coming to terms with what happened on Monday night while Damar Hamlin’s family and friends continue to hope that the Buffalo Bills safety pulls through.
Hamlin was the victim of one of the scariest on-field incidents in recent memory, having experienced a cardiac arrest during the MNF fixture between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. He remains hospitalized, with the situation still dire. And his teammates are understandably worse for wear.
Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins made an appearance on SportsCenter on Tuesday to deliver a passionate plea, reminding everyone that professional football players are human too while claiming that the team’s only focus is on their stricken teammate.
While Dawkins did admit that there is a job to do still as it pertains to football, he stressed that Hamlin is the team’s priority at the moment.
