Now, this was enough reason for the Commanders’ fans to feel sad. However, adding to their woes, Jayden Daniels seems to have picked up an injury.
What Happened To Jayden Daniels?
During the first drive of the second half at the Lincoln Financial Field, star QB Jayden Daniels looked to be in some serious discomfort. With the Commanders’ fans bracing in anticipation, their concerns got elevated. Reports suggested that Daniels had indeed injured his throwing arm. He suffered a cut between his pinkie and ring fingers.
Daniels was immediately seen getting attended by the medical team. Initially, they applied ointment and superglue to close the wound of the star QB. Interestingly, the injury did not look enough to slow down Daniels. While he continued to play, fans got concerned about an alternate possibility. They feared that with Daniels ignoring his injury, he might be doing some serious damage to his throwing hand. However, Daniels himself has responded to the fans, which should help them relax.
Jayden Daniels Responds To Injury Woes
Jayden Daniels has been the mainstay of the Commanders’ up until now. Despite looking to be in some serious pain, Daniels put up yet another brave showing against the Eagles. Before he cut open his hand, Daniels had already completed 8 passes from his 11 attempts. He also totaled 83 yards, which played a significant role in the Commanders leading the Eagles 10-6 at one point.
With tensions building about his potential injury, Daniels was asked after the match about the update. Thankfully, the Commanders’ QB had some good news to deliver. Speaking to Ben Standig from The Athletics, Daniels said, “I’m straight, just got a little cut… I can’t even tell you, sometimes it’s football.” Thus, with good news coming in, it remains to be seen how much the cut has affected Jayden Daniels.
