Huge news in the sporting world regarding one of the top reporters in the game right now.
Longtime ESPN NFL reporter Dianna Russini is packing her bags and leaving the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
The insider has been a mainstay at ESPN over the past decade, appearing on the majority of its NFL shows, so this is a huge loss for the company. Marchand noted ESPN offered her a raise, but she decided to leave the company anyway.

ESPN offered a raise to stay, according to sources, but Russini chose to go to The Athletic.
She is expected to start soon at The Athletic, where she will write NFL stories, appear on its video platforms and work with podcasts.
…Negotiations between Russini and ESPN were said to be going well, but she decided to leave for The Athletic.
Amid massive layoffs from ESPN over the past few years, who knows how long the company would’ve kept her around before they parted ways with her as they have done some other figures.
The 2023 NFL regular season will be here before you know it and ESPN is now left scrambling to find somebody to replace Russini, which is a massive hole for them.

Russini joined ESPN and became a SportsCenter anchor in July 2015 aft she previously worked as a sports anchor for WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.
Before covering sports, she played soccer for four seasons at George Mason University. In total, she scored seven goals and recorded one assist in 51 appearances for George Mason.
She is a legend on and off the field and now she will have a much bigger job responsibility with more money.
