Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is simply not happy with the media these days.
So much in fact that he stated in a since-deleted tweet that he wants to get in a boxing match with Stephen A. Smith and Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy. Bryant took to Twitter to announce his intention to physically challenge both Smith and Portnoy as a means of venting his frustration.
This unexpected tweet caught Stephen A. Smith off guard as he would soon respond in a 12-minute video.
“Dez, I’m sad that you sent that tweet my brother,” Smith said. “For the record, to the audience out there, I’ve never had a problem with Dez Bryant, not one time. I love the X. I used to troll them when they were Cowboy fans but I never had an issue with Dez.”
Bryant saw the response and stated he had plans to speak his story and how he feels about a lot of things.
“You right @stephenasmith, my problem is not with you but I do plan on speaking my story on how I feel about a lot of things,” Bryant tweeted.

The situation remains tense, with speculation mounting over whether Bryant will follow through on his boxing challenge.
It was just last month when ESPN reporter Malika Andrews got dragged through the mud over not speaking on Josh Giddey and allegations of an improper relationship with an underage girl when Dez Bryant inserted his opinion on the matter.
Bryant made a post on X, saying, “you went out your way to crucify Brandon Miller on draft day over something he didn’t even do Why haven’t you said nothing about Josh Giddey.” Bryant advised Andrews not to make this “a black-or-white thing,” and he said her parents hadn’t raised her right. He called her “a puppet” and said he didn’t know how current or former NBA players could talk to her.
Stephen A. Smith came to her defense and said going at Andrews the way Bryant did is off kilter because as a reporter you must report facts, and nobody knows all the facts in the Giddey situation.
Bryant replied to Smith, saying that he would love to go on his show, and “provide more context” about what he was saying but it seems the invite never came to fruition.
