Dez Bryant was among those to stand up for Dak Prescott in the wake of Skip Bayless’ absurd comments earlier this week.
Bayless actually questioned Prescott’s ability to lead an NFL team due to his comments about mental health.
“Because of all that, I don’t have sympathy with him going public that ‘I got depressed. I suffered depression early in COVID to the point that I couldn’t even go work out,’” Bayless said. “Look, he’s the quarterback of America’s Team. You know and I know, this sport that you play, it is dog eat dog. It is no compassion. No quarter given on the football field. If you reveal publicly any little weakness, it can affect your team’s ability to believe in you in the toughest spots and it definitely could encourage others on the other side to come after you.”
The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver took to Twitter and ripped Bayless.
“I get on twitter to laugh joke & spit real life s–t with people but I’m being very clear with you skip bayless… F–K YOU….I pray you never have to face mental illness or anything close to what people face with when they have mental health concerns.. you’ll fold like a b—h,” he wrote.
Bryant played with Prescott in 2016 and ’17. He’s been out of the NFL since getting released by the Cowboys in 2018.
