Dez Bryant is like a lot of people this week after hearing so many teams are not interested in signing Lamar Jackson.
The Baltimore Ravens placed their non-exclusive franchise tag on superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension, which means he can negotiate with other teams. However, the Ravens can match any deal offered to him or take draft picks as compensation and let him go to another squad.
Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was pissed that the Ravens couldn’t come to a decision on a long-term extension.
Bryant took to Twitter and exploded on the Ravens as he called out overall racism of Black players not being paid what they are worth.
“I’m sorry and I’m ready to accept all of the s**t talking that’s going to come with what I’m about to say. What I dislike heavy about the NFL whenever guys like Lamar Jackson and other black athletes perform past their contracts it’s always a problem whenever it times to be paid, don’t draft the player if the character is such a concern. NFL needs to understand is an investment on both sides and the player usually lose at the end.”
“Pay Lamar what he deserves and stop [sic] the madness.”

The non-exclusive franchise tag means Jackson will earn $32 million next year.
Any team that signs Jackson to an offer sheet would owe Baltimore two first-round picks if the front office decides to move on from the 2019 NFL MVP.
