On Monday, DeAndre Baker received huge news when robbery charges against the former New York Giants cornerback were dropped after the lawyer for three of the alleged victims was arrested for extortion.
The 23-year-old was accused of robbing a Miami-area party in May along with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar. Baker was charged with four counts of armed robbery while Dunbar escaped any criminal charges.
Dean was allegedly trying to extort Baker out of nearly $800,000. In exchange, Dean would coach his clients to weaken the case against him.
As crazy as the news was when the incident first happened, it did not receive the same type of press when his charges got dropped. Dez Bryant did not like that.
The Baltimore Ravens WR took to Twitter and called out the media:
“Can we blow this up the way it blew up whenever they got accused?? I’m not hearing people(the media) talk about how stupid the person who tried to extort him… SMFH… this is where mental Illness start whenever blacks get accused of false accusations… Praying for you Baker”

When a fan jumped in his comments to tell him not to make it about race, Dez responded:
“I’m going to talk about what happens to us BLACKS whenever we get falsely accused whenever I feel.. you are not BLACK so you wouldn’t understand… stop trying to read in between the lines and read it for what it is and you stop trying to make it a race war”
