Devonta Freeman knows his worth and won’t accept anything less.
According to Michael Silver of NFL Media, the free agent running back believes he’s worth more than the offers he has received from NFL teams.
He added that Freeman is threatening to sit out the entire 2020 season unless his contract demands are met.
The Seahawks were reportedly offering Freeman a one-year contract worth up to $4 million with a base value of less than $3 million. He promptly declined and Seattle gave that deal to RB Carlos Hyde instead.
The Eagles and Jets have both been linked to Freeman, but the Jets signed Frank Gore and unless Philly is willing to meet his asking price, he might find himself sitting out until an injury opens up a roster spot somewhere.
The 28-year-old played in 14 games in 2019 and rushed for 656 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 59 receptions for 410 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
