Tyreek Hill might be reaching out to a member of the Philadelphia Eagles real soon after his latest statement.
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Devon Allen, who recently ran the fourth fastest 110-meter hurdles of the year, believes he’s faster than any other man in the NFL. That declaration was recently made to TMZ.
“I definitely am ,” Allen said. “I’m not gonna roast [Tyreek Hill and DK Metcalf] because what they did [in track appearances] was impressive. I raced Tyreek Hill when I was in high school. We raced and he smoked me when we were in high school and DK Metcalf ran a 10.3 a couple years ago is super impressive for a guy that’s six-three, six-four, 225, but I think especially at the top level — top-five, top-10 in the world — there’s a big gap in terms of just performance.”
Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been considered by many as being the NFL’s fastest player since he has been in the league. The seven-time Pro Bowler has also competed in track, most recently winning a 60-meter race at the USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships in March.
Seahawks WR DK Metcalf posted an impressive 10.37-second time at the 100-meter dash at the 2021 USATF Golden Games. He first wowed everyone with his speed after he tracked down Budda Baker on an interception return in 2020.
Allen may be fast with raw speed on the track, but he does not possess football ability. He has yet to make a 53-man roster, and he’s 28.
“The first whirlwind for me was training camp, getting thrown into the fire, and realizing this isn’t college anymore,” Allen said of his 2022 experience with the Eagles. “I played at the University of Oregon, which is high-level ball, but the NFL takes it the another level.”

Allen is a two-time Olympian, competing in both Rio and Tokyo. He’s one of the fastest hurdlers of all time, posting a 12.84 in the 110-meter hurdles – the third-fastest time ever.
He needs to be more than just fast if he wants a long career in the NFL.
