Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane was activated from injured reserve and played against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. However, he only got one carry for one yard on the day. He also added one catch for four yards. Unfortunately, he would get injured during this game.
It looks like he won’t be getting any reps on Friday. The NFL’s first Black Friday game will be played without Dolphins running back De’Von Achane.
Achane was listed as questionable because of the knee injury that knocked him out of last Sunday’s win over the Raiders and now he is not expected to play after the team elevated Darrynton Evans from the practice squad
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Achane is indeed not expected to play.
A 2023 fourth-round pick, Achane exploded in Weeks 3 through 5 with 460 combined rushing yards and seven total touchdowns. He was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for what he did in Week 3. He recorded 233 total yards and four touchdowns.

After rushing for 151 yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 5, Achane was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Losing him and taking away a major weapon from the team.
The Dolphins offense will likely lean on Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. in his absence. Mostert ranks second in the NFL with 691 rushing yards.
Achane isn’t expected to miss an extended period, but his status is worth monitoring as the team pushes to secure as many home playoff games as possible with just seven games left in the regular season.
