The Dallas Cowboys are making some great offseason moves in 2023 and are now being tipped as a landing spot for one of the best linebackers in the NFL.
Back in March, the team brought in another wide receiver in the form of Brandin Cooks, who should take some pressure off CeeDee Lamb in 2023.
Some holes required filling after Noah Brown and Dalton Schultz left in free agency. They’re now thought to be filled given the latest moves, while there’s still the luxury of that $14.2 million cap space, which means the Cowboys could complete some additional business before the start of the upcoming season.
Devin White has been named as a potential addition. The Cowboys were reported to be among suitors for the linebacker after he requested a trade from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; it wouldn’t be all that surprising if they were to make a move for him.
The player is heading into the final year of his rookie contract and could set the bar for linebacker deals as it’s thought that his request was made in a bid to expedite extension talks. But he may very well be on the move.
What Might It Take For The Cowboys To Land Devin White?
Kenneth Teape of Nflanalysis.net has proposed a trade that would see Dallas land the 25-year-old for a second and fourth-round 2024 pick and a third-rounder for 2025. That would leave the Bucs with some good assets given their intention to rebuild on the back of Tom Brady’s retirement.

The Cowboys, in turn, would be getting another young defensive star who would join the likes of Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs to form what would be one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Of course, the Buccaneers could press for a first-round pick and no one would blame them given the caliber of player in question.
