There have been rumors circulating in the NFL community that Devin White, the star linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is reportedly “fed up” with the team and has requested a trade.
Should the team decide to trade him, he seems to have one Super Bowl contender in mind.
Fans noticed that White made a curious comment on Instagram after the Philadelphia Eagles signed Jalen Hurts to a long-term extension that runs through the 2028 season.
The rumors of White’s frustration with the Buccaneers stem from a number of factors, including the team’s decision to pick up his fifth-year option and not give him the long-term deal he was actually seeking. There were also reported tensions between White and former head coach Bruce Arians. Even legendary player Warren Sapp took shots at him over his effort on the field. White has also been vocal about his desire to play more of a leadership role on the team, which may have led to some friction with other players and coaches.
It’s also worth noting that trade requests from players are not uncommon in the NFL, and they don’t always result in a player actually being traded.
Jason Licht says the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have “no intention” of trading Devin White despite the linebacker requesting that the team trade him.
