This type of play could only happen to the Lions.
While facing the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Jared Goff was trying to check his pre-snap protections, only for his center to hike the ball out of nowhere.
Goff wasn’t expecting the snap, so he couldn’t do much besides watch the ball bounce off his center’s behind, off his own chest, then off the guards’ head, and into the hands of the Bears.
Based on stuff like this, you can’t help but think it’s going to be a long season for the Lions. The team currently sits at 0-3 on the season, and things are not looking good in week four, as they find themselves in a 14-0 hole early in the second quarter at Soldier Field.
David Montgomery has scored both touchdowns for the Bears — his second coming shortly after this costly turnover for the Lions.
