The Detroit Lions have made a major announcement regarding the futures of head coach Dan Campbell and executive vice president and general manager Brad Holmes with the team.
The Lions revealed having agreed to contract extensions for both men this Thursday following their incredible 2023 Super Bowl run, with both of them now set to remain in Detroit until the end of the 2027 season.
Principal owner and chair Sheila Hamp announced as much via the team’s official website.
“We are thrilled to have Brad and Dan under contract for the next four seasons,” she remarked “They have been the driving force behind the rebuild of our football team and the success that we have enjoyed. The continuity they provide for our football program will continue to be the key to our future success on the field.”
Holmes, who joined the team before the 2021 season, has been lauded for rebuilding the roster, having made some shrewd decisions in the NFL Draft. He was key in selecting the likes of Amon-Ra St.Brown, Penei Sewell, Alim McNeil, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jack Campbell, and Sam Pa Porta, among several others.
