On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they had given quarterback Ben Roethlisberger a massive extension worth $63M.
What’s even crazier is the franchise doing this after losing two of their most valuable weapons in Le’Veon Bell at running back and Antonio Brown at wide receiver.
To be fair, Big Ben’s stats were actually some of his best in a long time, and even though Bell didn’t contribute, he did have Brown on the squad for a bunch of this.

“It has always been a goal to play my entire career in Pittsburgh,” Roethlisberger said in a statement. “This is home for me and my family, and we love this city. I am as excited to be a Steeler in Year 16 as I was when they drafted me. They will get my absolute best.”
