Earlier today, the Arizona Cardinals secured one of the prized free agents from the 2021 class when it was announced that they had signed former Texans pass-rusher J.J. Watt.
Now, we have more details regarding that contract, which appears to be a two-year deal with $31-million, with $23-million of that guaranteed.
At an average of $15.5-million per year, Watt is well outside the top 10 pass rushers in the NFL when it comes to average annual salary.
Watt’s contract is currently the third highest on the Cards in terms of annual average salary, behind DeAndre Hopkins’ $27.25-million and Chandler Jones’ $16.5-million.
