Dwayne Haskins’ short career with the Washington Football Team and the controversy surrounding him with his on and off the field behavior is the reason for his newest contract.
Haskins has found a new home in Pittsburgh, signing a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Steelers that includes no guarantees, meaning that the team could move on from him without any financial ramifications.
Haskins was drafted by Washington in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft, and although he won the starting job last season, he would soon fall out of favor with his questions surrounding his work ethic and maturity.
He would be benched after four weeks and even put as the 3rd QB on the roster. Things only got worse as he was pictured out in a strip club after a loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Now, Haskins has a chance to get his career back on track in Pittsburgh.
