Antonio Brown and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have finalized a contract agreement, and the structure of the deal is finally out.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that Brown has signed a one-year deal that is worth slightly above the veteran minimum in base salary, which is around $1 million for players with Brown’s service time.
The contract includes per-game roster bonuses, individual incentives and team incentives that run up to the Super Bowl.
“It’s a one-year deal, and it’s a very low-risk deal for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” Garafolo said on Good Morning Football. “It’s slightly above the minimum salary. There are also per game roster bonuses, so for every game that he’s active he’ll get paid a chunk of money. He has individual incentives, as well as team incentives up to and including the Super Bowl.”
One thing to watch out for is the relationship between Brown and Bruce Arians. Before the 2020 season even started, Arians said “I just know him, and — it’s not a fit in our locker room.”
Brown is expected to make his debut in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints.
