There are 23, soon to be 24 women who have filed a civil lawsuit against Deshaun Watson that have allegations of him being inappropriate during massage sessions.
Three of the women accusing Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct worked for the same Houston spa under owner Dionne Louis. We found out in the past few days that Watson paid Louis $5,000, which she testified was because he was “a nice guy.” In an interview with USA TODAY’s Brent Schrotenboer, Watson’s attorney Rusty Hardin had an explanation as to why the Browns QB sent out that money.
Hardin claims it had nothing to do with Watson trying to pay off Louis.
“She asked him to help out her business and he did, and that’s what the $5,000 was,” Hardin said, via Pro Football Talk. “It didn’t have anything to do with all the ulterior suggestions.”
Another attorney, Leah Graham said the $5,000 was just “one example of the numerous contributions [Watson] made to various Black businesses around Houston.”
The 23rd lawsuit filed against Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson contains interesting details regarding the player’s past efforts to settle with his accusers.
According to the litigation filed by Nia Smith — who joins the 22 plaintiffs accusing Watson of sexual misconduct — the Browns QB offered $100K to each of his accusers but requested an “aggressive” non-disclosure agreement in return.

The sum of money was also a detail amid the reported trade talks between the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans to settle on a trade deal for Watson. Miami wanted Watson’s case settled before swapping capital.
Instead, Watson went to Cleveland and signed a $230 million fully-guaranteed contract.
