Attorney Rusty Hardin had a lot to say during his own press conference Friday.
The lawyer for Deshaun Watson explained he pandemic changed the massage industry and led the Houston Texans QB to reach out on Instagram to find appointments. Hardin adds Watson “lives on Instagram.”
Hardin says Deshaun was getting 2-3 massages a week, up to 150 for the year. Hardin says that as an “active athlete” and “traveling constantly”, he had to find different modes of discovering massage therapists.
Hardin also confirmed that Watson did have consensual encounters with the massage therapists, but says Watson never coerced or used his position as a celebrity to violate consent.
“People can make back money if they lose money. What they can’t get back is their reputation,” Hardin said.
