Deshaun Watson’s lawyer has issued a statement in response to the most recent lawsuit filed against the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback.
Watson has been hit with yet another suit from a woman claiming she was the victim of assault.
The QB is being sued by a Jane Doe, whom he has been accused of sexually assaulting in 2020. He isn’t facing any criminal charges, but this latest filing is just one of many naming the NFL star, who has had to settle multiple lawsuits of a similar nature.
Watson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, released a statement on Wednesday morning denying the allegations, which they plan to fight in court. The lawyer added that Watson would not comment on the matter on council’s advice.
“Deshaun strongly denies the allegations in the Jane Doe lawsuit filed Monday. We have asked him not to comment further while this matter works its way through the courts, but are comfortable he will ultimately be vindicated,” Hardin wrote.
“We will be ready to defend his case in court at the appropriate time but don’t intend to conduct our defense in the media. We would ask that people be patient while the legal process runs its course.

“In the meantime, Deshaun is going to focus his energy and concentration on football.”
The Deshaun Watson Drama Must Be Getting Old In Cleveland
The Browns are yet to reap the rewards of the five-year, fully guaranteed $230 million contract they handed Watson after he joined them via trade from the Houston Texans.
He’s now in the third year of his deal but has only started 13 games, hardly setting the world alight in any of them.
They would be forgiven for being sick and tired of all the Deshaun Watson baggage, but they had a fair idea of what they were getting into when they traded for him.
