Deshaun Watson lost his best target on Monday.
The first major move of NFL free agency was a stunning one when the Houston Texans suddenly traded wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals on Monday in exchange for running back David Johnson. The Texans received second-round pick in 2020 and a fourth-rounder in 2021 with Johnson and sending a fourth-rounder in 2020 with Hopkins to the Cardinals.
It was a stunning move immediately criticized by NFL analysts, players and fans alike on social media.
Soon after, Texans QB Deshaun Watson’s agent jumped on Twitter and didn’t seem to be pleased about that announcement.
He has every right to think something is up and possibly get his client out of there.
