Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, still recovering from season-ending shoulder surgery, has decided to return to the old stomping grounds.
The former Houston Texans quarterback returned to NRG Stadium for the Browns’ Wild Card Round Playoff contest against his old team. Per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Watson is on the sidelines to support the Browns:
Watson underwent shoulder surgery in November to fix up his season-ending injury. The Browns then signed former Super Bowl 47 MVP quarterback Joe Flacco as QB insurance.
Flacco turned back the clock and put together his best football in years. The 38-year-old won four of his five stars and threw for 1,616 yards and 13 touchdowns against only eight interceptions, leading Cleveland to the AFC’s top wild card berth.
