The Browns made a stunning announcement on Wednesday morning. Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will have season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder.
Watson suffered two injuries in Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens and informed medical staff that he felt discomfort in his right shoulder after a hit in the first half. Other injuries had made him miss several games this year and somehow the team was still able to stay afloat without him.
Eventually, doctors determined that Watson needed immediate surgery and expect him to fully recover for the start of the 2024 season.
Not many people felt sorry for him.
Some fans took to X to say the same thing about his season-ending injury being karma for his off-the-field sexual misconduct cases as well as karma for the Browns for trading for him and giving the QB a fully guaranteed contract.

Watson had already missed a month of action after suffering a rotator cuff strain in his right shoulder against the Tennessee Titans back in September. It’s another key injury the Browns will have to overcome. They’ve stayed in the playoff hunt despite losing running back Nick Chubb.
They’re 6-3, holding onto the sixth seed in the AFC playoff picture, and will now have to continue without Watson.
P.J. Walker, who has played five games this season, is expected to step into the No. 1 role.
