Deshaun Watson is in an uphill battle after Tony Buzbee revealed his firm has been formally contacted by the Houston Police Department over a potential criminal investigation into the NFL quarterback.
The high-profile Houston attorney who filed at least seven civil lawsuits against Deshaun Watson over sexual misconduct allegations said he’s poised to add five more suits as has been contacted by at least 10 more women with similar claims.
All of these women were seemingly contacted through Instagram, but it appears the disgruntled QB has a reason for it.
According to TMZ.com, Watson used Instagram to find massage therapists because his usual therapist became unavailable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“But, our sources tell us … Watson didn’t just find these women out of the blue — insisting when his usual therapist was stopped by the COVID pandemic, he reached out to various friends, teammates and associates to get recommendations.
We’re told once Watson made contact … he put an emphasis on privacy and spelled out the areas he wanted the massage to make sure the masseuse was comfortable and to ensure things stayed professional.
Our sources tell us … Watson insists he never crossed the line with any of the women and still strongly believes they’re being led by a money-hungry attorney who’s looking for a payout.”
Watson, who signed a 4-year, $156 million contract extension in 2020, reportedly turned down a 6-figure offer from Tony Buzbee to basically make all of this go away, because he feels he has done nothing wrong.
The NFL has started its own investigation, so things will start to get real as the 2021 season draws near.
