Deshaun Watson has been relatively quiet this offseason, but his name continues to be talked about in regards to Lamar Jackson not being able to secure a deal as the one he received from the Cleveland Browns.
Anytime his name is mentioned, it’s either about his fully guaranteed deal or the off-the-field issues that got him suspended by the league. Watson was facing two dozen civil lawsuits and accusations of alleged sexual misconduct.
Watson has been in the lab this offseason and he showed that he is putting in the work via a video he shared on Instagram.
“Shiii’d .. The Work Gone Come First!” Watson captioned the post. You could see him tossing passes to receivers Daylen Baldwin and Jaelon Darden.
Watson’s first snaps in charge of the team last year weren’t exactly impressive. He looked like a guy who had not touched the football field in two years. He played the final six games for the Browns, with the team going 3-3. He completed 58.2% of his passes for 1,102 yards and seven touchdowns with five interceptions.
The Clemson product is reportedly working overtime to go back to his former level and become one of the finest gunslingers in the league again just as he was when he played for the Houston Texans.
When healthy, Watson is one of the most prominent dual-threat QBs in the NFL. He is still quite young and could have his best years ahead of him, so fans are hoping he can get back on track and shut down all the outside noise that has surrounded him for quite a while now.
