Deshaun Watson still hasn’t quite returned to the form he was while playing in Houston, but it seems he is getting better and it started with an impressive win on Sunday.
Deshaun Watson ran for a touchdown and threw for another, and Cleveland’s defense bottled up Burrow as the Browns opened the season with a 24-3 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Watson bolted for a 13-yard TD late in the first half, which showed the franchise and fans what kind of plays they were hoping to see from him when they signed him to a $230 million contract in 2022. He missed 11 games last season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
Following the game, Watson’s longtime girlfriend, Jilly Anais, took to Instagram to deliver a strong 3-word message to everybody.
“THAT’S MY QUARTERBACK!” she wrote on social media.
Watson is in uniform from the start this season, and his presence has Cleveland expecting big things.

Watson got more comfortable as the game went on. He made enough plays to win this game with reason to believe it’s simply a matter of time before he unleashes his true form and starts throwing for over 4,000 yards once again.
The Browns will be looking to keep the good times rolling as they face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers next week.
