Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson made plenty of fans take notice of his leaping ability on Sunday when he hurdled Jacksonville Jaguars’ safety Ronnie Harrison while attempting to score a touchdown.
That play seemed very familiar because it happened already before. According to Clemson Sports Talk, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said Watson texted him after the game.
“This is unbelievable. I’m driving to Greenville, and I get a text from Deshaun Watson. I read his text, and he sent me a picture of him hurdling a dude. He says it’s the same end zone, the same guy from Alabama that he hurdled in the championship game.”
A similar type play happened just two years ago during the 2017 National Championship when Watson hurdled Harrison when he was the starting safety for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
