There isn’t much to say about Deshaun Watson that most fans don’t already know. He was a top pick of the Houston Texans and has all the talent in the world to be one of the league’s best quarterbacks. Unfortunately, off-the-field issues have completely derailed what appeared to be a very promising career as he continues to try and get his career on back on track.
In the meantime, his off-the-field issues continue to be a stain on his career as he heads into his second season with the Cleveland Browns.
This week, it was reported that the Houston Texans organization has been named as an additional defendant in the remaining civil lawsuit against him.
According to records filed in Harris County District Court, which were obtained by Fox 8, a woman who previously filed a lawsuit against him last October has amended her case just last week to add the Texans.
“Defendant Houston NFL Holdings, L.P. is a Delaware limited partnership, doing business under the trade name Houston Texans in the state of Texas with its principal place of business in Harris County, Texas,” the suit, states. “Not only did the Texans facilitate Watson’s actions, but they also removed a potentially explosive Instagram post about such conduct. The Texans knew, or should have known, about Watson’s conduct.”
The woman in question says Watson committed sexual misconduct during a massage session back during his time with the Texans. Watson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, has called the lawsuit a sham.
Before he settled the majority of his lawsuits, Watson had been sued by 25 women who all claimed he committed sexual assault or misconduct. He has settled 23 of those cases.

He has not faced any criminal charges as two grand juries chose not to indict him. He reportedly met with ‘at least’ 66 different women between the span of 2019 and 2021.
Watson served an 11-game suspension last year and paid a $5 million fine after being found in violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
