Deshaun Watson is fighting back against the latest lawsuit against him.
The attorney representing the Cleveland Browns quarterback has asked a judge to sanction a lawyer who recently filed a lawsuit against Watson on behalf of a woman who claimed sexual misconduct during a massage session.
“This is a false lawsuit and we are asking for sanctions,” Attorney Rusty Hardin said. “The lawsuit is a complete sham.”
Via Brent Schrotenboer of USA Today, paperwork filed by Hardin includes screen shots of text messages the alleged victim sent to Watson after the session during which he allegedly pressured her to perform oral sex.
According to Justice, Watson claims that this woman sent more than 35 messages to him during an interview with his counsel in 2021.

“This evidence undeniably establishes that while this may be a case of unrequited love, under no stretch of the imagination is this a case of assault,” Hardin said. “Had [the lawyers] performed even the most cursory investigation, it would have confirmed that fact.”
The Browns quarterback is looking to end it all with a $5,000 sanction against the filing firm.
As far as his playing career, Watson is expected to be back on the field on Dec. 4 against the Houston Texans. There are four games remaining in his 11 game suspension.
Twenty-four other women filed lawsuits against Watson alleging sexual misconduct during massages. Twenty-three of those lawsuits have been settled.
Watson does not face any criminal charges and has denied any wrongdoing.
