The Tennesee Titans are rumored to be ready to explore a trade for running back Derrick Henry this month, with the deadline coming up at the end of October.
Henry, who turns 30 in January, has seen his powers wane this season and it’s expected that his time as one of the top RBs in the league will soon come to an end. According to the NFL Rumors account on X, the Titans will try to get the player to a contender in order to give him the best opportunity to end his career on a high note.
The Titans are thought to be ready on from the player due to his declining performances, but more so due to the emergence of rookie Tyjae Spears.
The Philadelphia Eagles were said to have agreed a deal for Henry during the offseason but it appears there was no truth to the reports. The NFC champions traded for D’Andre Swift instead.
The Green Bay Packers are now thought to be one of the teams most interested in trading for the player and could make him a target ahead of the deadline.
Henry would make a great addition to the Packers’ offense. There is some uncertainty in their backfield, with Aaron Jones dealing with injuries at the moment, and bringing in a player of Henry’s ilk would definitely count as a positive.
