The Baltimore Ravens were linked with Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry ahead of November’s NFL trade deadline but nothing ultimately ended up happening.
That may all change some months later.
Baltimore was reportedly the “team most interested” in pushing to acquire Henry, but in the end, the three-time Pro Bowler ended up staying put with the Titans in what is expected what his final year with the franchise.
Although Baltimore could not secure the trade, they reportedly had the deal set in place before Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk vetoed the blockbuster move.
Draftings Sportsbook has the Ravens’ odds to sign Derrick Henry at +350, which is tied with the Eagles for the best odds of landing the star running back.
It appears that he will look to join a new team for the first time since he was drafted in 2016. The Ravens have Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins heading for free agency during the 2024 offseason and Henry would be a big upgrade at the position.

Derrick Henry has been one of the best running backs in the league for his entire career. He has had great individual success, however, his team has not amounted to much throughout his career.
That could all change if he ends up with a team like the Ravens who could use someone to take the pressure off Lamar Jackson running the ball and possibly taking hits that could cause injuries.
The Ravens could look to grab the star running back in free agency during the offseason and pair him up with mobile quarterback Lamar Jackson, which sounds like an unstoppable duo that would scare opposing defenses.
While this is just a rumor, it is certainly an intriguing idea that Henry could be partnered with Jackson on the same offense.
