The Tennessee Titans are among the teams expected to have some major outgoings ahead of the NFL’s October 31 trade deadline. However, Dianna Russini is reporting that the two offensive stars who were involved in most of the trade rumors are likely to stay put.
Running back Derrick Henry is thought to be looking for a new home, and sources have made claims of the Titans helping him land a trade to a contender. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who only joined in the offseason, was also rumored to be a possible trade piece as well.
A weekend report from Russini noted that the aforementioned players, as well as all of the others, are unlikely to move as GM Ran Carthon is not going for any offers that aren’t “exceptional.”
Russini added that a source from the Dallas Cowboys told her the team never made any inquiries pertaining to Henry, which is in line with what owner Jerry Jones said about not initiating trade talks earlier this week.
“DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry look to be staying in Tennessee. Teams have called GM Ran Carthon on a number of players, and I was told Carthon is not moving on any offer unless it’s exceptional. (A source with the Cowboys also shared they never called about acquiring Henry.)”
With a few days still left to go before the window closes, there’s still plenty of time for moves to be made. We’ll just have to wait and see.
