Derek Carr is really going to bat for his former coach, considering he still has to see the guy a ton since they are neighbors in the Las Vegas area.
Over two weeks ago, Jon Gruden resigned as Las Vegas Raiders head coach following reports he used racist, homophobic and misogynistic language in emails. His emails were uncovered as a sidebar to the NFL’s investigation into the Washington Football Team.
On Sunday, Fox Sports ran an interview with Derek Carr who really wanted everybody to one day forgive Gruden for what he stated in those emails.
The disgraced former coach said in a statement after his resignation, “I love the Raiders and do not want to be a distraction,” former coach says after revelation of 2011 emails. “I’m sorry, I never meant to hurt anyone”
Weeks later, he issued a vague statement to a producer from HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, according to HBO’s Andrea Kremer.
Maybe he’s “playing offense.”

“People who know me know what I stand for for 58 years. I have a resume of 58 years,” Gruden told staffer Maggie Burbank. “The truth will come out.”
Said Kremer of the quote: “It’s certainly cryptic.”
Due to Gruden’s explosive communications, even the U.S. government now wants a peek into the 650,000 emails that involve Washington.
