Derek Carr was on fire in Las Vegas, but it’s too bad it came during a time where it did not matter much.
A red-hot showing during Thursday’s Pro Bowl skills competition in Las Vegas afforded the veteran QB the perfect chance to throw shade at himself amid ongoing speculation surrounding his future with the Raiders.
Carr, who was selected as a replacement for the inaugural Pro Bowl Games, showed off his precision passing during the drill to kick off the night’s festivities. The four-time Pro Bowler racked up 31 total points in a competition.
After the clutch performance, Carr joined ESPN’s Ryan Clark for a sideline interview, where he was asked if he had ever been that hot in Sin City. His response? “Not that hot,” Carr said, “It’s probably why I’m going somewhere else.”
On top of that, he was not repping the Raiders during the games, he had on an NFL cap.

Carr seems to be taking his situation in stride. It seems he has no hard feelings and is ready to move on to his next destination.
The Raiders are unlikely to find a team to trade for Carr, so they will be forced to release him so he will be able to pick and choose where he wants to go.
