The Derek Carr era with the Raiders is officially over.
The veteran QB took to social media on Thursday and posted a lengthy statement that bid farewell to the franchise and the fan base.
This statement comes weeks after the team benched him for the final two weeks of the regular season. He and the team would then agree he would be away from the team to not serve as a distraction for the remainder of the season.
The Raiders have every plan to trade him in the offseason.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Carr “will be part of the process” as he holds a no-trade clause in his contract.
