If you thought watching last night’s Thursday Night Football game on Amazon Prime in the comfort of your own home was tough, just imagine what it was like for Denver Broncos fans who paid money to watch it in person!
During the Broncos’ 12-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts last night, cameras caught hundreds of Broncos fans making their way to the gate immediately after their team blew their fourth quarter lead by allowing Indy to kick a game-tying field goal at the end of regulation.
The Broncos held a 9-6 lead and they had the ball deep in Colts territory with just a few minutes remaining. They were well within field-goal range, and that extra three points would have forced Indy to score a touchdown on their final drive.
But Russell Wilson went for it all on 3rd & 4 (rather than play it safe for the field-goal), and he was picked off in the end zone.
That allowed the Colts to execute a two-minute drive and set up Chase McLaughlin for an easy 31-yard chip shot to tie it. And almost immediately after he sent his kick through the uprights, Broncos fans at Empower Field at Mile High decided they had seen enough.

Usually I’d say this is a bad look for Broncos fans, but in this case I can’t help but feel as though they were making the right decision. In fact, I applaud them for even having the will to stick around for as long as they did. That game was tough to watch.
At least those who left were spared the pain of having to watch Russell Wilson stick the final nail in his own team’s coffin.
