Former Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain II attended the NFL Draft in style this week.
The SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year last season showed up in Cleveland rocking a PlayStation 2 inspired chain, a custom 1 of 1 from renowned jeweler Leo Frost.
The 6-foot-2, 208-pound corner was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round.
NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks believe Surtain is the top player at his position.

“Patrick Surtain II, to me, is finishing up the process as the top corner,” Jeremiah said. “Due to the injury to Caleb Farley, for me, he vaults right up to the top and he’s not only somebody with a high ceiling but a high floor. He’s a playmaker, can make plays on the football and the Philadelphia Eagles played it nicely here to position themselves for the top corner.”
Brooks also said Surtain is “as skilled as they come.”
“He’s a fantastic player, he is as skilled as they come,” Brooks said. “Really knows the game, he’s been schooled well by his dad, a Pro Bowl-caliber corner, and so what you’re getting is a guy that’s a plug-and-play playmaker on the island. Wouldn’t put him in the category of the Jalen Ramsey’s of the world, but this is a really good football player, someone who should be an impact player from day one.”
