The NFL world is in mourning following news of the shocking death of a former defensive lineman who won two Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos.
Harald Hasselback has passed away after a six-month battle with cancer, according to his family, who relayed as much to the team, also noting that he made his terrestrial exit without pain in the comfort of his own home.
He was 56.
“Harald Hasselbach, a longtime Bronco and key member of Denver’s back-to-back Super Bowl championship teams, has passed away,” the Broncos reported on Thursday afternoon.
Hasselbach made 131 appearances for Denver between 1994 and 2000, starting 29 regular-season games and all three games during the Broncos’ run to a championship at Super Bowl XXXIII.
