Last Monday, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was feeling extremely confident when discussing the next game against the Dallas Cowboys as both teams were coming out losses to the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings.
“I know the sky’s falling outside,” he told a Philadelphia radio station. “It’s falling and I get that. The fans are reeling just a little bit. But we’re going down to Dallas and our guys are going to be ready to play. And we’re going to win that football game and when we do, we’re in first place in the NFC East, we control our own destiny. We’re right where we need to be.”
Those comments eventually made it to DeMarcus Lawrence who informed of the vow to defeat his squad on Sunday Night Football.
“Tell him to come on,” he told reporters, including The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “We ready. Can he play the game? He might want to shut his ass up and stay on the sidelines. He can’t play the game for them.”
The Pro Bowl defensive end continued…
“You ain’t got to worry about it this week,” he said when asked about his snap count this season. “Doug Pederson already called us out, so y’all know what it is. Thank y’all.”

The Cowboys could seriously use Lawrence being on his A-game, as he hasn’t recorded a sack in nine career games against the Eagles.
