Anything negative related to the Dallas Cowboys is likely to garner a ton of attention.
A highlight of the Dallas Cowboys giving up a long run to the Los Angeles Chargers during a joint practice surfaced on social media, and it was captioned, “Cowboys No. 1 defense gashed w/ a run.”
Not everybody agreed with that caption.
Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence wasn’t on the field during that particular play, took issue with the caption, so he fired back at it online.
“Wrong. #90 would have made that play for a loss. #CarryOn,” Lawrence tweeted.

It’s hard to believe that DeMarcus Lawrence is about to start his eighth season in a Dallas Cowboys uniform. Back in March, the Cowboys and the DE agreed to a new three-year, $30 million contract.
Lawrence still has two years left on his current deal and is owed base salaries of $19 million and $21 million.
In 2021, Lawrence appeared in seven games for the Cowboys and recorded 21 tackles, three sacks, a defensive touchdown, two forced fumbles, and five pass deflections.
