The name of the game is to pay you what you deserve and DeMarcus Lawrence wants his money.
As one of the top pass rushers on the Dallas Cowboys, the defensive end is ready to get paid and wants his team to know about it.
Earlier this week, Lawrence took to Twitter and publicly called out the team for taking its time getting him a new deal.
“Franchised —-> Pro Bowl——-> Your move,” he wrote.
After playing on a 1-year, $17M deal, the Cowboys have one of three choices to make in regards to Lawrence. Sign him to a long-term deal; apply the franchise tag again that would give him $20.56M; or let Lawrence his the open market.
Letting him hit the open market is the most unlikely since he racked up 10.5 sacks in 2018 and was selected to another Pro Bowl. That was after leading the team in sacks in 2017 and being selected to his first Pro Bowl.
